Pulpit Commentary. Verse 116. - Uphold me according unto thy Word, that I may live; or, "according to thy promise ." Al-Anon meeting topics are related to the experience of dealing with a friend or family member who has a problem with alcoholism. Sometimes the chairperson will ask the group if anyone has a topic they would like the group to discuss. Meeting attendees discuss the topic and share their related experiences, strengths, and hope. So, to break it down: the indefiniteness of ืืืฉืืคื and the universality of ืื mean we should translate "any witch"; the piel of ืืื indicates "let live"; the long imperfect is a broad category but can here be understood with deontic modality "should". All in all this yields "you should not let any witch live". -When you love with abandon, it means that you'll happily fall deeply into love with people, even if you've only just met them. It means you'll let your guard down very quickly and allow them in, even without fully understanding why yourself. People who love with abandon often set themselves up for more painful heartbreak.
Sincere love is grounded in the character of God, whose very nature is love (1 John 4:8, 16). We let our love be without hypocrisy when we love like He doesโwhen we replicate God's love as demonstrated in the life of His Son. God showed us how to live and love as He does in the person of Jesus Christ. Love without hypocrisy is unconditionalCxHR6W.
